Chocolate Balls {Walnut & Snowballs}

Are you looking for an easy chocolate balls recipe? Here, I will show you two different recipes of chocolate balls; one is chocolate walnut balls and the other one is chocolate snowballs. Must try any one of these recipes and you will love it!

Recipe of Chocolate Walnut Balls


  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup White Sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons Light Corn Syrup
  • 2 & ½ Cups Vanilla Wafer Crumbs
  • 1 cup Chopped Walnuts


  • Double Boiler
  • Bowls
  • Measuring Spoons/Cups

Steps to make Chocolate Walnut Balls:

  1. Melt chocolate over a double boiler, stirring until smooth. Remove from the heat and whisk in 1/2 cup of sugar and the corn syrup.
  2. In a separate bowl, stir together the vanilla wafer crumbs and walnuts. Add the chocolate mixture to the nut mixture and stir until well blended.
  3. Place the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar in a shallow bowl. Roll the dough into 1 inch balls and roll the balls in the sugar to coat evenly.
  4. Cover and refrigerate at least overnight for the best flavor. These can be refrigerated for up to 5 days.

Recipe of Chocolate Snowballs


  • 1 & ¼ Cups Butter
  • 2/3 Cup White Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/8 Teaspoon Salt
  • ½ Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 2 cups Chopped Pecans
  • ½ Cup Confectioners’ sugar for decoration

Steps to make Chocolate Snowballs:

  1. In a medium bowl, stir butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla to the mixture and stir well.
  2. Take another bowl; add the flour, salt, cocoa, and stir. Add it into the butter & sugar mixture. Mix in the pecans until well blended. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Roll chilled dough into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets about 2 inches apart.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes in preheated oven. Roll in confectioners’ sugar when cooled.
